Retail Insurance Producer

We are currently seeking Producers (sales professionals) for our retail insurance operation. The producer is responsible for the qualification of new business and personal accounts for the agency. Reporting to the sales manager, the producer will establish prospects, and further refine and pursue qualified leads to the point of sale. The producer is expected to call on local/regional/national businesses, following the established Knapp Schenck marketing protocols, culture and brand.

The producer candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills (call center or telemarketing skills can be a plus). Teamwork is essential to the success of our production staff and being a self-starter will be an advantage.

A college degree is an educational prerequisite for this position, though continued industry training and development is expected. While not immediately necessary, a property and casualty insurance background will be helpful.


Assistant Account Manger – Commercial Lines/Large Accounts 

Assistant Account Managers apply their technical and analytical skills to the insurance process, in order to assist Account Managers with placement responsibilities. Assistants work closely with Account Managers in providing fundamental, process services to our clients. Frequently, work of a more complex and analytical nature is assigned to Assistants, which shifts the focus from that of process to project. Assistants are responsible for participating in continuing education classes in order to maintain professional capabilities and credentials.

The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for most aspects of the service process on assigned client accounts. This includes but is not limited to creating marketing submissions, proposals, binders, certificates, and auto ID cards at the direction of Account Managers for new and renewal business. Assistants build the client file system and populate the agency management system. Premium invoices are generated by Assistant Account Managers and from time to time finance proposals are provided to our clients.

The most successful account managers command excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong computer skills are a plus, as we have adopted a windows based environment using Microsoft based software, (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as Applied – EPIC. The ability to multi-task is prerequisite and a college degree is desirable.


Account Manager – Commercial Lines

The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of service on assigned client accounts. This includes but is not limited to the negotiation, placement, and review of policies, (preparation of specifications, applications, proposals, and binders). Management of the client relationship involves negotiating contracts with underwriters and clients alike, in order to secure the most cost effective net result for our insureds. The “insurance process” requires that account managers work predominately from our base office, but permits some flexibility within one’s work schedule.

Personal Lines – Customer Service Representative – Braintree, MA

We are seeking a Personal Lines Property & Casualty Customer Service Representative to work in our Braintree Personal Lines Division. Five years customer service experience with Massachusetts Producer License required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with a proven ability to learn and become proficient in the utilization of proprietary agency management programs and software.
